Step 9 / Lastly, apply your favorite lipstick, lip balm, or lip gloss to finish off the look. I am using this highlighter and brush and am also applying a tiny bit under my brows, on the tip of my nose, along the cupids bow, on my chin and the center of my forehead. 1 You can apply a couple of layers if you want a more dramatic effect or just apply a light dusting for some subtle highlights. I love to put the color here instead of along the jawline because this can easily transfer upwards creating a shadow on the chin. Step 1 / Using an angled brush, begin by applying the soft contour shade from this palette directly under the cheekbones, from the ear to about 2″ from the edges of the lips.
